Force of Nature: The Dry 2: Release date and where to watch

Published On

April 5, 2024

After the unprecedented success of the independent film The Dry, Eric Bana returns in the sequel Force of Nature: The Dry 2 based on Jane Harper’s follow-up book of the same name. Bana’s Aaron Falk is once again at the centre of a gripping investigation after a whistleblower disappears in the woods.

Jacqueline McKenzie also stars as federal agent Carmen Cooper, while Anna Torv plays Alice Russell, the woman whose mysterious disappearance becomes Aaron’s next haunting case.

The movie first hit the theatres on 8 February 2024. After its run in Australian cinemas, distributor Roadshow Films released the film on digital platforms on 21 March 2024, meaning you can now rent or buy The Dry 2 on Apple TV, Prime Video Store, Fetch and Telstra TV Box Office.

Since new movies debut on streaming later on (approximately after 45 days, could be shorter or longer), we can speculate that the new film will be on subscription services soon.

It’s likely The Dry 2 will stream on BINGE, Foxtel Now, and Netflix, following in the footsteps of the first movie. Ahead of the sequel arriving on streaming, you can still watch The Dry on the aforementioned services.

For his next case, Aaron Falk must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of Alice Russell, a woman who appears to have come across a secret so big she vanishes while in a corporate hiking retreat.

Four other women were also present during the remote hiking trip, but each one tells a completely different story, complicating the entire investigation.

As more lies and revelations emerge, suspicions and distrust only escalate. He then quickly sees that things aren’t what they seem, fuelling his desperation to find answers before he runs out of time.

Force of Nature is written and directed by Robert Connolly (Romulus, My Father), who also co-wrote and directed the first film in 2020.
