Live streaming Rugby Union

Rugby Union matches generally run for 100-200 minutes which includes a 15 minute interval for half time. Rugby matches consists of two halves with each half being 40-minutes. Although a rugby game lasts for 80 minutes on its game clock, they take longer with half time intervals, injury, or game stoppage during knockout tournaments.

Rugby sevens matches consist of two seven minute halves however if you add a two minute half time break as well as stoppage times consisting of injury and general game stoppages it may be different. It’s not unusual for a match to be longer than 20-minutes in total.

As per the international rugby board, each Rugby match time ranges from 100 to 200 minutes even though the two halves of a rugby match last for 40 minutes. This is because of the breaks accounted by injuries, and game stoppage during each match.

In a rugby union match game, stoppage happens whenever there are player substitutions, a new ball, a player’s error such as ball forward or forward pass soccer, or new equipment is being placed by the official timekeeper. There are times when a rugby game will be stopped if the weather condition is not good for a match. Typically, the Rugby game in a world cup match there will be extra time if there is any tie and the time runs out. If this circumstance happens a game time of 20-minute match for extra time.

Just like the association of football, both teams will have to switch rugby field after 10 minutes and interchange for the next 10 minutes for fair play. In few instances, a Sudden death will be played if after 100 minutes the teams still have a tied score. If the clock hits 110 minutes and the score is still tied, each will be given five penalty kicks 22 meters away from the goal post.
