Kayo and Stan Sport cover different sports, so the choice is mostly about what you watch. Kayo, at $29.99 a month, has AFL, NRL, cricket, Supercars and Formula 1. Stan Sport costs $20 a month on top of a Stan plan, which starts at $9.99, and has rugby union, the four tennis Grand Slams and European football. The cheapest way into each is the same $29.99 a month.

Kayo's list comes from Finder (updated 21 October) and Cricket Australia, and Stan Sport's comes from its own sport pages, read on 28 October. Stan Sport lists the Premier League but does not say how many matches it shows, so check the fixtures before you pay.

Kayo's prices apply from 5 February 2026. Finder says new customers can often get an introductory offer such as a 7-day trial or a $1 first month, and Kayo Freebies gives a limited free selection. Stan has dropped its free trial, so Stan Sport starts charging from the first month. If you take Stan Premium at $23.99 with Stan Sport, the total is $43.99, which is $2 less than Kayo Premium.

What is on in the next few weeks

Stan Sport: Stan's Wallabies coverage starts at 1:30am AEDT on Monday 9 November (England), 1:30am on Monday 16 November (Scotland) and 6:30am on Sunday 22 November (Wales), ahead of the kick-offs. The next Champions League kick-off Stan lists is at 4:45am AEDT on Wednesday 4 November.

What is free

Nine puts some of Stan Sport's big events on free-to-air. The Bledisloe Cup matches in October were live and free on Channel 9, 9Gem and 9Now as well as in 4K on Stan Sport, and Nine has the Australian Open rights to 2029. Seven shows 30 BBL matches and the finals free, with Kayo showing every match.

What is changing

Fox Netball ends its coverage on Wednesday 28 October after the Constellation Cup. From 2027 Suncorp Super Netball moves to Nine, with at least two matches a week on Channel 9, every match on Stan Sport and every match free on 9Now, so netball fans will not need Kayo.

Does Kayo have the Australian Open or Wimbledon?

Where is netball moving?

From 2027 Suncorp Super Netball will be on Nine, with every match on Stan Sport and free on 9Now. Fox Netball ends its coverage on Kayo after the Constellation Cup on 28 October 2026.
