The first series under the new Marvel Spotlight banner, Echo follows Maya Lopez, who returns to her hometown after the events in Hawkeye. As she reconnects with her native American roots, she also initiates a war fuelled by blood vengeance with Wilson Fisk, finally settling a score with his adoptive uncle.

As a Marvel Cinematic Universe series, Echo exclusively streams on Disney Plus, which also houses every MCU show and movie available. If you’re a huge fan of the phenomenal superhero franchise, Disney Plus should be your go-to streaming service.
In the US, it’s also worth noting that Echo will be on Hulu as well, which marks the first time that a Marvel series is launching on the platform in addition to Disney Plus.

What is the plot of Marvel’s Echo?
Echo, which explores the origins of Maya Lopez, as well as the consequences of her choices, is set after the events of Hawkeye in New York City. Finding the truth about her father’s death, Maya, the former leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, turns on Fisk.
As she confronts her dark past, she must defeat the man who raised and manipulated her to do his bidding. Breaking away from Fisk’s organisation, Maya finally returns home to reunite with her family and her community.
However, knowing Fisk’s savage obsession, he’s not going to just let her be; and with Maya armed with the knowledge that it was Fisk who had her father killed all along, she’s not going to stop either.
This sets the stage for a brutal battle that will likely be the heart of Marvel’s new series, which also features the return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.
Echo will be the first Marvel Studios series with direct ties into the MCU to receive an TV-MA rating. Unlike other Marvel TV-MA shows like Daredevil and Luke Cage, which debuted on Netflix years prior, Echo was made specifically for Disney+.
