How long does a Netball Game go for?

Netball takes 60 minutes long. However, there are different variations that were created to increase the game’s speed and attract a wider range of audiences. Each match has four quarters that take 15 minutes each. The England Netball association rules that after each quarter there will be a 4-minute interval, although the linesmen can extend the intervals should there be any emergencies. This exception doesn’t break the rules of netball.

The match is usually between two teams composed of seven players each. Each match is comprised of 4 quarters, 15 minutes each. There will be halftime breaks in between the second and third quarters that lasts for 12 minutes. The team with the most goals scored wins. The Netball court has the same playing court size as a basketball court. The game starts after a centre pass from both teams.

Furthermore, this ball sport is highly popular and is mostly played by women. This ball sport is played by a total of 20 million people across 80 countries worldwide and Junior Netball match consists 50 percent of the overall Netball players worldwide. The team in the Netball game that gets most of the goals to score wins. In this ball sport played by two teams of seven players, only the goal attack and goal shooter can score goals inside the semicircle.

According to Netball rules, its prescribed time frame must be strictly followed. However, the game time can be flexible if there will be any penalty pass. If one of the teams will attack the goal circle before the time runs out, a penalty pass can be given to the other team.
