The final Indiana Jones film starring Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, is finally making its television debut in December. Get ready to see the world’s most beloved adventurer in his final conquest.

If you haven’t seen it yet, now is the chance to finally see the iconic archaeologist return to the big screen with more mysteries to uncover, more conspiracies and evil schemes to thwart… one last time.

What’s in this Guide?

While the first four Indiana Jones movies were distributed by Paramount Pictures, Dial of Destiny was distributed by Walt Disney Studios. This is due to Walt Disney Studios’ acquisition of Lucasfilm and licensing rights for future sequels.

Hence, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will launch on Disney Plus following the film’s theatrical run.

Set in 1969, Indiana Jones has put his exploring days behind him and settles as a college professor, although he’s also soon to retire. With his marriage with Marion on the rocks and still grieving the loss of Mutt in the Vietnam War, there’s nothing much to live for.

That is until Indy’s goddaughter, archaeologist Helena Shaw, shows up unannounced and asks about Archimedes’ Dial, a legendary artifact that can change the course of history. Decades ago in 1944, Indy and Helena’s father, Basil Shaw, acquired the Dial themselves.

With the unbelievable things it can do, the Dial must not fall into the wrong hands. But with a former Nazi scheming to alter the outcome of World War II in pursuit, Indy must get back to the life he left behind to make sure the Dial is not exploited by villains who won’t just quit.

Directed by James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari, Logan), Dial of Destiny marks Indiana Jones farewell adventure as he hangs up his hat, for good this time.
