The Curse TV series (2022) preview

Step into the crazy world of The Curse, a comedy caper set in London that will keep you hooked from the first episode to the last. This British and Spanish co-production takes us on a wild journey alongside a gang of hopeless small-time criminals who, through their own stupidity and poor judgement, find themselves embroiled in one of the biggest gold heists in history.

In Season 1, we meet Albert and his wife Natasha, café owners who are struggling to turn their luck around. Their life takes an unexpected turn when Albert reunites with his old pals Big Mick Neville and Phil “The Captain” Pocket, and meets Natasha’s brother, Sidney.

Our lovable yet hopeless small-time crooks stumble upon an opportunity that could change their lives forever. As they unknowingly bumble their way through the biggest gold heist ever attempted, their antics will have you in stitches. From petty crimes to the dramatic airport escape in the season one finale, the laughs never stop as this gang of misfits finds themselves in prison awaiting trial.

Now, in the second season recently dubbed “The Curse: Costa del Crime”, we reunite with the gang eighteen months after the murderous ending of the first season finale, taking us to the sunny Costa Del Sol in Spain in the mid-1980s. Also known as Costa Del Crime for its reputation as a place of escape for UK criminals, it becomes the place for Albert and Natasha to start anew.

While they see a brighter future ahead of them as they use their heist money to finance their dream restaurant and hotel business, will they really be able to leave their past behind? It’s hard to imagine that they will, especially with the British and Spanish governments meaning to catch them. And so the gang’s misadventures in The Curse continue.
