Station 19 is Grey’s Anatomy’s spin-off drama, currently one of the most-watched shows on the US network ABC. It follows the personal and professional lives of the firefighters and EMTs at the Seattle Fire Station 19 and every heroic effort that changes their lives, as well as the lives of the people they save.

Returning for its final seventh season, find out how the engrossing firefighter drama wraps up its story here.

The final season of Station 19 is scheduled to premiere on Disney+. Just like its mothership series, Grey’s Anatomy, only Disney’s streaming service offers every season in Australia.

In addition to Star Wars content, Disney Plus also offers exclusive access to every Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and Nat Geo content, plus the newly added Star channel for more adult-oriented shows and movies.

Station 19 was introduced in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, which serves as its backdoor pilot. The show’s lead character, Andy Herrera, first appeared in this episode.

Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 crossovers are also somewhat a television spectacle that fans enjoy seeing, with the firefighters of the Seattle Fire Department working with the Grey Sloan doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

In Station 19 Season 6, we saw Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) overcoming her massive legal trouble from the prior season. She was wrongfully charged with manslaughter in the first degree after defending herself from an attacker. Now that it’s all behind her, she decided to return to the firehouse to continue doing the work she loves.

In Season 7, Andy takes on captain duties, however, she encounters her first challenge as leader of the firehouse after Jack Gibson’s (Grey Damon) life becomes in danger. While we learned at the beginning of the season that he survived, his injury has rendered him unable to work as a firefighter again.

There’s so much going on both in the personal and professional lives of Seattle’s firefighters, which the seventh season will have to wrap up across ten episodes. This is because despite its popularity, ABC announced that the seventh season will be the show’s last.

Season 7 is also helmed by new showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige, taking over from Krista Vernoff, who departed the series after Station 19 Season 6.

The firefighter-themed procedural is created by former Grey’s Anatomy writer and producer Stacy McKee and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, who also created Grey’s Anatomy.

Check out the trailer for the final season here.

The spin-off is headlined by Jaina Lee Ortiz, who plays the main protagonist, Andy Herrera. Pat Healy, who played the main antagonist Michael Dixon in Station 19 Season 6, isn’t returning for season 7.

Grey’s Anatomy’s Caterina Scorsone also appeared as Dr. Amelia Shepherd in a crossover episode. Check out the complete cast of the final season below.

  • Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera
  • Jason George as Ben Warren
  • Boris Kodjoe as Robert Sullivan
  • Grey Damon as Jack Gibson
  • Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes
  • Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery
  • Danielle Savre as Maya Deluca-Bishop
  • Stefania Spampinato as Dr. Carina DeLuca-Bishop
  • Carlos Miranda as Theo Ruiz
  • Josh Randall as Captain Sean Beckett
  • Merle Dandridge as Chief Natasha Ross
  • Lachlan Buchanan as Emmett Dixon
  • Rob Heaps as Eli Stern
  • Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd

After seven suspense-filled seasons, the procedural drama is ending its run. In Australia, you can stream the 10-part final series on Disney+, as well as every prior season on demand.

First premiering in 2018, the series has garnered a dedicated fanbase, which is why its cancellation after seven seasons continues to be a big surprise even with the final season currently airing.
