Watch the trailer for the new documentary film, One to One: John and Yoko, coming to Australia via DocPlay from 21 July!

One to One: John & Yoko is a docufilm that goes beyond standard forms and expectations, set against the backdrop of the widespread demonstrations against America’s participation in the Vietnam War and Richard Nixon’s presidency. The film itself focuses on Lennon and Ono’s “One to One” free benefit concert for the children at Willowbrook State School, the former’s only full-length live performance after The Beatles.

Directed by Kevin MacDonald (State of Play) and Sam Rice-Edwards, One to One features a collection of private phone calls, home movies, and never-before-seen footage. It also examines Yoko’s relationship with the Beatles star and the controversy surrounding her, including the false claim that she broke up the band.

While it can easily be seen as a concert film, featuring music from John and Yoko’s only full-length concert, One to One offers a captivating story about a power couple collaborating to spark radical hope through their music and creativity.
