Alma’s Not Normal Season 2 trailer
If you’re a fan of the show, the long wait is over as Alma’s Not Normal Season 2 is finally arriving in Australia. Check out the trailer below.
What is the plot of Alma’s Not Normal?
Alma is a working-class woman from Bolton. After a recent breakup, she’s trying to turn things around by pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. Her chaotic reality, however, partly brought by her tumultuous upbringing, keeps getting in the way. As she goes out of her way in her attempt to create a better life, Alma must navigate a series of hurdles, namely unemployment, the tricky care system, and her own dysfunctional family.
The show, which first premiered on BBC Two in 2020, is a unique combination of dark comedy and tender drama. Amidst the laughable scenarios and Alma’s outlandish outfits, there are genuine moments that viewers will love. At the centre is its celebration of female strength and northern grit. It was inspired by Willan’s experiences of the care system.
