Starting from a pretty dark place, our main guy Tsunehiro is faced with life’s big punches – a terminal diagnosis and looming debt. Just when you think it’s all doom and gloom, he’s pulled back from the edge, literally! The fishing scenes are a breath of fresh air, and who doesn’t love a good underdog story? There’s something quite charming about this unexpected twist of fate. The film does a decent job of balancing the heavy stuff with some light-hearted moments, but I felt it could have pushed the emotional envelope a bit more. Still, the chemistry among the crew is delightful. It’s not perfect, but it’s got heart and a message that sticks with you. Definitely worth a watch if you’re in the mood for a feel-good flick!
