Katie Franklin, played by Camila Mendes, is a caretaker who suddenly finds herself in a tangled mess of greed and betrayal after inheriting her employer's estate. The story starts off with promise, but quickly slips into predictability. The twists, which should be the film's highlight, feel forced and lack the punch needed to keep viewers on their toes. Mendes delivers a solid performance, but she is let down by a script that doesn't give her much to work with. The supporting cast, including Jessie T. Usher and Jamie Chung, adds some flair, but even their talents can't save the film from its convoluted plot. The direction lacks the tension that a good thriller demands, and the pacing often drags, making it hard to stay invested.
