The premiere date for Ghosts Australia has yet to be announced, although it’s been confirmed to drop in late 2025. Upon release, the eight-episode sitcom will be available to watch on Channel 10 and Paramount+.

What is the plot of Ghosts Australia?
Announced to be shooting in Perth with BBC Studios Australia at the helm, Ghosts Australia will follow the original plot, which revolves around a couple who inherits a historic countryside mansion. The vast estate, however, is not in its best, and so its new residents will make attempts to brighten up the place. Unbeknownst to them, the mansion is also inhabited by ghosts, who are about to perform every shenanigan they can come up with to make its new owners leave.
In the Australian remake, the couple who’s about to encounter quirky ghost housemates are Kate and Sean, who are moving in together for the first time. With their attempt at domestic bliss constantly interrupted by a group of needy spirits, the couple will have to learn to co-exist, to hilarious results.

Ghosts Australia will star Tamala Shelton as Kate and Rowan Witt as her partner Sean. The dynamic cast also includes Mandy McElhinney as Irish potato famine survivor Eileen and Brent Hill as naval officer Gideon.
Completing the ‘ghosts’ lineup are Ines English as 1900s socialite Miranda, Michelle Brasier as 1980s aerobics instructor Lindy, George Zhao as young Gold Rush-era Chinese miner Joon, and Jackson Tozer as Satan, a 1990s motorbike gang member.
