Ryan Atwood is a gifted young man who comes from a broken home. His mother may have abused him and kicked him out, but a couple of wealthy philanthropists have decided to take him under their wing so that he can fulfill his potential. Problem is, Ryan’s past has led to a few anger management issues.
As Atwood settles into his new life he stumbles across a new bunch of friends thanks to his socially awkward stepbrother, Seth. These friends include Seth’s childhood crush, Summer, and girl-next-door, Marissa, who Ryan himself takes liking to.
