Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones has finally reached its end with the season 8 finale. As heartbreaking as it is, you may still want to relive it all over again with Game of Thrones replays available on Foxtel Now. In the meantime, take a look back on how it all began before the eighth and final season breathed in its last breath on Foxtel.

The trailer started out with Arya Stark, seemingly avowing her promise of taking revenge with her kill list. It then pans out to featuring all other major characters, as well as teasers for upcoming plot lines, which includes Daenerys and Jon Snow’s arrival in Winterfell. As expected, the trailer ends with the foreboding arrival of the White Walkers — hinting at the great battle that’s about to go down, and you can see it for yourself below:

What is known is that the season will feature only six episodes, compared to the usual ten. While this may mean a shorter season, it could spell out longer episodes — making it feel more like six full-length movies than TV show episodes.

Other expected plotlines would also involve Sansa Stark, who is in charge of the capital of the north, and how well — or how badly — she would deal with Daenerys’ arrival. There’s also the possibility that Jon Snow will finally know the truth about his parentage — that he is Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen’s son. There’s also much blood to be shed with six names left on Arya Stark’s kill list, including Melisandre, the Mountain, and the Hound.

Even without sharing concrete plotlines (or spoilers!), we’ll surely see more of these teasers from HBO — but to sum it all up, we do believe that Jon Snow said it best when he said, “There is only one war that matters. And it is here.” The great and final war is arriving at last, so be sure to be the first ones who are there to witness it all when Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on Foxtel on April 15, 2019 at 11:00am AEDT!
