England World Cup Match Previews
After opening their World Cup with matches against Tonga and the USA which they will be expecting to win, England faces a bigger test on the 5th of October when they clash against Argentina. Though England is undoubtedly the better side, the Argentina team look an improved outfit and demonstrated some promise in the recently concluded 2019 Rugby Championship with narrow losses to both the All Blacks and the Australian Wallabies. Kicking off at 6.00pm on a Saturday night, England vs Argentina will draw plenty of interest from around the globe.
One week later, England’s Group Stage ends with a match against the other team most likely to challenge them for top spot in their group in France. The French Rugby team have had a frustrating history at the game’s biggest event, finishing runners-up on three occasions, third on one occasion and fourth a further three times while failing to ever win. The eighth-ranked side in the world, they won’t be expected to change that this year but they could easily pose problems for England.
