Live streaming cricket

The red ball is one of the most popular viewing past-times in Australia, with millions of households watching live or catching the replays at a later time.

Now that the current season’s cricket broadcast rights have been confirmed, cricket fans will be pleased to know that every delivery, wicket and boundary will be available to watch live as it happens, with options to catch up on the matches you may have to miss.

The cricket calendar this season looks busy for both the player and the fan. With matches being held all across the global stage. From the BBL, WBBL, domestic T20’s, ODI’s, and Test matches, to the Sheffield Shield, it’s important to keep up to date with the latest TV fixtures and viewing times to avoid missing out.

It’s also difficult to keep updated with information from abroad matches like the Indian Premiere League, The Ashes, and those key international ODI’s, T20’s and Test matches. Let alone, which streaming service it’ll be shown on.

This is because the TV rights for watching cricket live in Australia are distributed between Foxtel, Kayo Sports, and free-air-to-air channels Seven and Nine.

Cricket on TV Broadcast Guide

Australian broadcasting rights for all Test matches across the popular summer season will be shared between the Seven Network, Foxtel and Kayo Sports.

You can watch the games live via all three services, with Foxtel and Kayo retaining exclusive streaming rights for those who may want to watch on a mobile device.

Channel 7 does not have the broadcast rights to ODIs and T20Is, both domestic and overseas, as these are available exclusively on Foxtel and Kayo Sports via their dedicated channel, Fox Cricket (501)

Foxtel and Kayo, as well as broadcasting each Test, ODI and T20I as they happen via Fox Cricket (501), will also offer the chance to stream the matches live and on demand. Foxtel via their Foxtel Now online TV service, and Kayo Sports through their formidable streaming platform.

In December 2023, Amazon Prime revealed its acquisition of exclusive broadcasting rights in Australia for all International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments from 2024 to 2027. This encompasses the coverage of the men’s and women’s Cricket World Cups, T20 World Cups, Champions Trophy, Under 19s, and the World Test Championship Final. As a result, access to the World Cup defenses of the national teams will be limited to a pay-per-view model on Amazon Prime throughout this timeframe.
