However, things take a nosedive when their landlord shows up, and the film shifts gears into a nerve-wracking thriller. While the initial setup is promising, the film sometimes feels like it’s trying too hard to maintain suspense, leading to moments that feel contrived. The performances are solid, and you can feel the tension between the characters, but I found myself wishing for deeper character development.
