★★★★★3/5
Urkel Saves Santa: The Movie! brings back the beloved character of Steve Urkel in a festive narrative that seeks to blend comedy with holiday cheer. The premise is simple: Urkel, in his typical clumsy manner, inadvertently ruins a local Christmas celebration and aims to make things right. The film features a familiar blend of slapstick humour and heartfelt moments that aim to resonate with both children and adults alike. While the plot may tread familiar ground, it effectively captures the essence of the holiday spirit. The performances are spirited, especially from the lead, who embodies Urkel's quirky charm. However, the film occasionally leans too heavily on cliches and predictable plot devices, which may leave some viewers wanting more originality. Overall, it is a charming, if not groundbreaking, addition to the holiday film genre.

★★★★★2/5
Urkel Saves Santa: The Movie! is a mixed bag that may not be quite what fans of the original character were hoping for. Steve Urkel's antics feel a bit dated, and while the film tries to deliver a holiday message, it often gets bogged down in slapstick that misses the mark. The plot is thin and predictable, which can make it a tedious watch, especially for older audiences. Although the film has its moments of warmth, the overall execution lacks the charm and wit that made the original series so beloved. It may appeal to younger viewers or die-hard fans of the character, but for many, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a festive treat.
