3BHK, directed by Sri Ganesh, is a poignant exploration of the trials faced by a middle-class family in their quest for home ownership. The film adeptly captures the emotional landscape of its characters, who are portrayed with authenticity and depth. As they navigate financial struggles and personal setbacks, viewers are invited to reflect on the broader implications of societal pressures and the meaning of home. The performances are commendable, particularly from the lead actors, whose chemistry brings a sense of realism to the narrative. Ganesh's direction strikes a fine balance between drama and light-hearted moments, ensuring the film remains engaging throughout. 3BHK is a film that tugs at the heartstrings, but it occasionally feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to hit all the emotional beats. The story follows a family struggling to make ends meet while dreaming of their own home, which is a relatable premise. However, the pacing sometimes drags, and certain scenes feel overly sentimental. While the performances are solid, especially from the head of the family, the script doesn’t always give them enough to work with. There are moments of genuine warmth and humour, but they can be overshadowed by the heavier themes the film tackles. If you’re in the mood for a family drama that doesn’t shy away from the realities of life, 3BHK may resonate with you. Just be prepared for some clichés along the way.
