Gallen v Asofa-Solomona in Australia: start time, price, full card and how to watch

Paul Gallen, 45, comes out of retirement to fight Nelson Asofa-Solomona over five heavyweight rounds at the TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney on Friday 6 November. The main card starts at 7pm AEDT and is pay-per-view on Main Event for $69.95, through Kayo or Foxtel. The promoter lists the prelims on Kayo Sports and Fox Sports from 5pm AEDT.

Those five fights are the main card. The prelims are Kya Sparks v Zidane Tavares, Alex Naman v Zain Adams and Jayden Fadel v Rajesh Kumar. That is the promoter's card on 2 November, in its listing order. Cards change, so check it again on fight day.

The fight

Gallen, a former Sharks captain, is 16-2-1 with eight knockouts. Asofa-Solomona, a former Melbourne Storm forward, is unbeaten with three knockouts in three fights, and Foxtel says none of his opponents has heard the final bell. The event is promoted by No Limit Boxing with support from Destination NSW.

How to buy it, and what you need first

On Kayo, with no Kayo subscription needed

1. Open the Gallen v Asofa-Solomona page on Kayo and start your order.
2. Sign in, or create an account. Kayo asks for an Australian mobile number.
3. Enter a credit card and confirm the order. You cannot pay with Pay with Telstra or Apple billing, and Kayo places a $1 pre-authorisation on the card to check it.
4. Look for the confirmation email. You can start streaming only on the day of the event.

A purchase streams on one device at a time. Kayo's help articles disagree on whether a non-subscriber also gets its other content for four days after the fight, so check your order confirmation. Kayo warns that orders in the last 30 to 60 minutes can be slow, so buy early.

On Foxtel

Order on an internet-connected iQ3, iQ4 or iQ5 box (press On Demand or Box Office, choose Rentals, then Main Event), in My Account, in the MyFoxtel app or by calling 131 999. Foxtel from Telstra customers cannot order online or in the app, so they need the remote or the phone. Foxtel direct residential customers pay a $2 booking fee on phone orders. Main Event is channel 521.
