The NRL season has ended but that doesn’t mean rugby fans will no longer have any matches to anticipate. For rugby fans, the action continues with the Pacific Championships!

Previously called the Oceania Cup, the 2023 Pacific Rugby League Championship will include three different competitions from October to November.

They are the Men’s Pacific Cup, between Australia, New Zealand and Samoa. The Men’s Pacific Bowl, which involves Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands and Fiji. As well as the Women’s competition, which is comprised of Australia, New Zealand and four other Pacific region sides.

The Pacific Championship is hosted by three countries this year, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. From October until November, six men’s teams and seven women’s teams will play in three groupings to bag the championship title.

The Pacific Cup is played by higher ranking teams for men, Pacific Bowl for lower ranking, while the women’s matches will be played throughout the Cup and Bowl tournaments.

Below are the Australian TV fixtures for this week’s Pacific Championship, with the dates, times (AEDT) and providers who will be carrying these games live.

Group matches will being at either 4:00pm or 8:10pm. Meanwhile, the Pacific Cup final will be aired 3:00pm and the Pacific Bowl final at 4:00pm.

New match dates and TV times will be added when the current events conclude, so be sure to check back for the Finals.

The Pacific Championship officially kicks off 14th October and concludes with the final on 5th November. Six teams will play across eight matches in five venues. This year, Australia will play in the hopes of winning and retaining the Pacific Cup.

The coverage on Fox League will include all 8 matches televised live, with every ball shown ad-break free during play. The award-winning Fox League team will also provide news, commentary and expert analysis throughout the tournament.

For those who miss out on the live action, condensed match replays will be scheduled (Foxtel/Telstra) or streamed on-demand (Kayo Sports).

Alternatively, Network Nine will also be showing every match live, except there will be ad-breaks during play. The live matches on Channel 9, or 9Gem, will also be simulcast on their streaming platform 9Now.

The official free to air provider for the 2023 Pacific Championship is the Nine Network, which will be simulcasting the event on their 9Now streaming app. To receive the simulcast in HD you will need a compatible device.
