The Creator is a sci-fi adventure directed by Gareth Edwards and starring John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney.

Set in a future torn apart by a war between humanity and artificial intelligence, the film follows ex-special forces agent Joshua, who’s recruited to eliminate the elusive “Creator.”

This mysterious figure has devised a world-ending AI weapon. As Joshua and his team journey across enemy lines, they discover that the devastating weapon is an AI in the form of a young child, blurring the lines between human and machine.

Being distributed by 20th Century Studios, which is currently owned by The Walt Disney Studios, The Creator will be available to stream on Disney Plus.

After its theatrical run, it initially became available for digital streaming via Apple TV Store, Google Play, Prime Video Store, and others. Starting this month, it will finally become available on subscription streaming.

The new film starring Tenet‘s John David Washington arrives on 20 December, exclusively on Disney Plus.

Its Disney+ premiere comes nearly three months after its Australian theatrical release on 28 September.

Gareth Edwards’s new feature is launching on Disney Plus. To start streaming, new customers can choose between the monthly and the yearly plan.
