V8 Supercars live tv scheduleThe pinnacle of motor racing in Australia is the V8 Supercars Championship, and this year’s edition will be one of the best yet, with live and uninterrupted viewing of every practice, qualifying session and featured race.

The 2019 championship chase now heads to Tasmania, and you won’t miss a minute of this exciting motor sports action no matter your schedule when watching the Supercars live at home on your TV, or streaming the races online with a mobile device.

Round three of the 2019 V8 Supercars Championship heads to Symmons Plains at Launceston for the Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint. The events begin on Friday the 5th of April with a pair of practices, and conclude on Sunday the 7th of April with the 200km race. It is one of the longest serving circuits on the Supercars calendar, and includes a couple of hairpin bends that offer a chance for overtaking, albeit leaving no margin for error.

Last year’s overall winner was Craig Lowndes who won after taking out the 200km race on Sunday and finishing second in the 120km race on Saturday. His Triple Eight Race Engineering teammate in Jamie Whincup finished first and third in the respective events, rounding out an excellent event for the team.

So don’t miss a minute of the action as there’s no telling who will provide the most popular racing footage this time around, and which driver will claim the top spot when the dust settles on the weekend.

V8 Drivers to Watch

Jamie Whincup is the seven time Drivers champion who is fast becoming one of the all time greats of the sport in Australia. His title defence last year didn’t go as he hoped, finishing third in the standings, but he finished the season strongly with three consecutive top three finishes. He was very good at Albert Park recently and his record at Launceston is excellent, so he looks the man to beat again.

Shane van Gisbergen joined the team alongside Whincup a couple of years ago, and though he is touted as a challenger for the Drivers Championship this year he has gotten off to a slow start. He is best known as the best driver if there is wet weather about, so if the forecast is for rain then expect him to excel.

Scott McLaughlin is the reigning Drivers Champion, and his title defence has gotten off to the best start imaginable. McLaughlin has won five of the first six races – he didn’t start in the sixth – to take an early lead in the standings. At the corresponding event last year, he came ninth in the first race before storming home for a second place finish in the 200km event, and he will be looking to go one better as he tries to solidify his spot atop the standings in 2019.
