★★★★★4/5
Veeran emerges as a compelling narrative that intertwines folklore with contemporary issues. Directed by ARK Saravanan, the film presents Kumaran's journey with both depth and intrigue. The plot, revolving around his return to a village plagued by malevolence, is rich with emotional undertones. The cinematography captures the essence of the village, while the performances, particularly by the lead, are commendable. Saravanan's direction balances action with heartfelt moments, making the film resonate with audiences. While some pacing issues arise, the overall experience is a rewarding one, making Veeran a noteworthy addition to the genre.

★★★★★3/5
Veeran is a mixed bag of thrills and cultural storytelling. While there's a lot to love about its ambition, the execution sometimes falters. Kumaran's character is relatable, and his battle against evil is engaging, yet the film occasionally leans too heavily on clichés. The visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack adds to the atmosphere, but the pacing feels uneven at times. It’s a decent watch for those who appreciate action-fantasy, but it may not leave a lasting impression. Overall, Veeran is entertaining but could have pushed its boundaries further.
