Trolls Band Together, directed by Walt Dohrn, is a delightful addition to the beloved franchise that captivates audiences with its vibrant visuals and catchy musical numbers. The film follows Branch and Poppy as they embark on a quest to save Branch's brother, Floyd, from the clutches of two nefarious pop-star villains. The animation is bright and colourful, perfectly complementing the film's upbeat tone. The character development is commendable, especially as Branch learns about the importance of family and friendship. The soundtrack features a mix of original songs and well-known hits that will resonate with viewers of all ages, ensuring a fun experience. While the plot may tread familiar ground, the emotional depth and humour elevate it, making it a worthwhile watch for families and fans alike.

★★★★★3/5
Trolls Band Together has its moments, but it felt a bit too predictable for my taste. Sure, the animation is as vibrant as ever, and the music is catchy, but the story doesn't bring anything new to the table. Branch and Poppy's adventure to rescue Floyd is entertaining enough, but the villains could have used more depth to make them memorable. The film does have its heartwarming moments, especially around family bonds, but at times, it felt like it was trying too hard to replicate the charm of its predecessors. If you're a fan of the franchise, you'll likely enjoy it, but for those looking for something fresh, it might not hit the mark.
