The Woman in Cabin 10 is a film that tries to pack a punch but sometimes stumbles under the weight of its own ambition. Set against the glitzy backdrop of a luxury yacht, it follows a journalist who becomes embroiled in a mystery after she sees something she shouldn't. The premise is intriguing, but the execution feels uneven. While the lead performance is solid, the supporting characters often lack depth, making it hard to fully invest in their fates. The film's pacing drags in parts, which detracts from the tension it tries to build. There are moments of genuine suspense, but they are interspersed with lulls that break the flow. The direction by Simon Stone has flashes of brilliance, yet it feels like he could have done more to tighten the narrative. Overall, The Woman in Cabin 10 is an engaging watch for a rainy afternoon, but it may not leave a lasting impression.
