Pilot

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, a suburban wife and mother strives to seize the day and make the most of her remaining days. In the first episode, Cathy is determined to live life to the fullest following the diagnosis of terminal cancer and keeps news of the illness between her and her handsome young oncologist, Dr Todd. She starts by throwing infantile husband Paul out of the house.

Summer Time

Cathy tries to reform her son Adam by burning all of his dirty clothes ahead of his month away at a football camp. Later, Cathy goes back on her decision to allow Adam to attend the camp and pleads with him to stay with her for the month, deploying an eye-catching way of getting her son to change his mind. Meanwhile, Sean confides in Cathy and Paul presses Cathy to see a marriage therapist with him.

Sean accepts her invitation and brings along his vegan-environmentalist girlfriend Daphne.
