★★★★★3.5/5
Teasing Master Takagi-san is a sweet little film that serves up a generous helping of charm and giggles. The rivalry between Takagi and Nishikata is relatable and refreshingly innocent, making it a perfect watch for those who enjoy light-hearted tales of young love. The film doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is a big plus; the pranks are clever, and the banter is sharp, ensuring plenty of laughs. That said, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea-viewers looking for deeper themes or more intense drama may find it lacking. Still, the animation is bright and engaging, and the characters are endearing. If you’re in the mood for something fun and fluffy, Teasing Master Takagi-san ticks those boxes nicely without overstaying its welcome.
