Succession (2018–)

Succession was one of HBO’s most popular shows during its run (2018–2023). Despite its popularity, it ended after just four seasons. Creator Jesse Armstrong viewed the fourth season as the show’s definitive conclusion, choosing to end the series on a strong note rather than let it drag on.

The story of Logan Roy and the complexities his succession caused within his family is loosely based on media magnate Rupert Murdoch.

There are four seasons of Succession, which premiered in 2018 and ended in 2023.

BINGE used to offer a catalogue of shows and movies, with original programming and HBO content as highlights. However, the arrival of Max in Australia on 31 March 2025 meant the departure of all HBO programs from BINGE’s library—including Succession.

Every season of Succession is now available to watch on Max, which, by extension, is also available on Foxtel. This is because a Basic Max plan is included in any of Foxtel’s entertainment packages at no additional cost. It is, however, important to note that Succession will no longer be on Showcase.
