★★★★★3.5/5
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a charming film that brings a much-needed perspective on love in the LGBTQ+ community. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and the comedic elements offer plenty of laughs. However, while the film does a great job of addressing societal issues, it occasionally feels like it glosses over deeper emotional conflicts. The direction is lively, and the dialogues are sharp, but there are moments where the pacing lags. Still, it’s hard not to root for Karthik and Aman as they fight for their love against the odds. The film is a heartwarming reminder of the importance of acceptance and love, making it a worthwhile watch for anyone interested in contemporary Indian cinema.
