★★★★★3.5/5
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is a mixed bag of thrilling action and emotional stakes. The film introduces us to Amate, a high-school student living in a space colony, who gets swept up in the dangerous world of mobile suit battles. The premise is intriguing, and the animation is striking, but at times, the pacing feels a bit uneven. While the action is exhilarating, some character arcs could benefit from deeper exploration. That said, the film does an admirable job of setting the stage for future developments in the series. If you're a fan of mecha anime or just looking for some exciting battles in a unique setting, this film will entertain you, even if it doesn't completely hit the mark.
