★★★★★3/5
Last Chance U: Basketball has its highs and lows, much like the players it depicts. The show does a decent job of illustrating the struggles faced by young athletes, but at times it feels repetitive. The emotional beats are there, but they don't always land as powerfully as one might hope. The characters are relatable, and their stories are genuine, yet some viewers may find the pacing a bit slow. It's an interesting watch, especially for those who love sports, but it may not resonate with everyone. For a slice of life in junior college basketball, it’s worth a look, but don’t expect groundbreaking storytelling.
