Other movies we think you would like to stream if you love the Drama, Romance, Thriller genre.
If you're looking for a Dakota Johnson fix, here are some more movies and TV shows that you can stream.
Things kick off with Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), a shy, bookish English literature student studying at Washington State University. She fills in for her BFF to interview one of the youngest billionaires in the world, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). When she meets the handsome Christian, he takes a liking to her. His infatuation soon follows the daring affair between the two.
The inexperienced student begins to spiral into a dark, lustrous world of submission and romance. Let's just say it leads to some pretty crazy emotional and thrilling twists.
Anastasia tangles in Christian's web and their connection begins to deepen — we get a glimmer of Christian's romantic side. But, does he really love her… or is he just obsessed with her?
Filled with mystery, toxic romance, and saucy scenes, Fifty Shades of Grey ticks all our boxes as a guilty pleasure. It's got all the thrills, drama, and lust that will keep you on the edge of your seat. We think it's the perfect movie for a girl's night with a bottle of wine, of course. Here's what we love about Fifty Shades of Grey:
It's definitely not for the kids; let's just say that. Saturated with sex scenes, nudity, and explicit language, it’s no wonder why 50 Shades of Grey is R-rated. Any youngsters aged 17 and under definitely shouldn't watch this steamy film because there's nothing child or teen-friendly about it.
It's a trilogy series, so there are three Fifty Shades of Grey films out there.
The first movie is Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), which introduces the start of a raunchy relationship. It's when billionaire Christian Grey and English literature student Anastasia kick off their saucy relationship. The sequels in the series are called Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018).
It's got themes that dip into romance, elements that are most definitely thrilling, and even bits of erotic drama. Christian's a controlling businessman with a mysterious past, so it's no surprise that he brings thriller themes to the table. As for Ana, she's a hopeless romantic English literature student, so you can guess where the romance comes from.
Two main protagonists take the lead in this romantic thriller:
Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steel (Dakota Johnson).
Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) is a businessman full of mystery and dark secrets. He couldn't be more different from his love interest, Anastasia 'Ana' Steele (Dakota Johnson), a young English literature student.
Somehow, these two characters manage to cross paths one day, leading to a daring affair. As the pair get more cosy with each other, Ana soon learns that Christian is full of secrets.
It definitely is. 50 Shades of Grey is a raunchy movie that's filled to the max with sexual proclivities and nude scenes. It's definitely not a movie to watch with your mum or dad. If you're on the lookout for a hot and erotic drama, this movie certainly takes centre stage.
Unfortunately not. You don’t get Fifty Shades of Grey included with Apple TV, meaning you’ll need to rent or buy it. But, if you’ve got Netflix, Foxtel Now, Binge, or Stan, you can stream for free as part of your subscription.
