How to watch Unheard TV series in Australia

Shifting from standard TV series streaming on platforms these days, Amazon Prime Video has decided to launch something different – Unheard. It is an investigative documentary series depicting the lives of various victims of racial discrimination in Australia.

The series takes a closer look at the various cases of racism in Australia, its roots, causes, and effects. This unique docu-series features interviews with actual victims of racism, with real footage, pictures, and the narrative about the people involved. This landmark series is perfect for the times we live in, and a reminder of the terrible impact prejudice has on our society as a whole.

Unheard is a 6-part documentary series developed in collaboration between LADbible Australia, Amazon Prime Video, and Screen Australia. The series focuses on the sensitive issue of racial discrimination, which is becoming more and more prevalent around Australia and the World in general.

This is the first-ever documentary series created by LADbible Australia Originals and is part of their Unheard campaign, a fight against racism and discrimination in Australia.

Every individual involved in each case of racism undergoes intense emotional and physical pain. Unheard tries to delve deeper into their lives, their past experiences, how they tackled the situation, and how they manage to live life day-today now.

It consists of real conversations with the victims, photographs, podcasts, animations, and infographics – all blended to present their story vividly. Instead of fictional characters, the episodes are written with the real people associated with these cases.

The series covers indigenous youth crimes, Islamophobia, tortures against the African community, racism against Asians during the Covid-19 pandemic, and ill-treatment of refugees. Each episode is a personal account or review of a racist incident, where the people speak their minds, without filters.

Unheard first premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 29th October 2021. It concluded after 5 episodes, but they’re still available to watch on demand.
