Many of the most important sporting events in Australia and around the world are broadcast on Channel 7. Perhaps most synonymous with Seven Sport is the AFL Premiership
, of which it has been the sole broadcaster for much of the past 25 years. Sports coverage is not limited to this though, as it also provides comprehensive broadcasts of the Australian Open of tennis
, the US Masters, the Melbourne Cup, the Rugby League World Cup
, and the Olympics.
The latter of these means, of course, that Channel 7 is your home of all things related to Winter Olympics free to air broadcasting. Starting from 11am AEDT each and every day, the network will provide comprehensive coverage and live broadcasts of the most important events at the Games. You can watch LIVE and in High Definition on the broadcaster’s primary channel, channel 70, though you will need to switch to 7mate while they air the news and a couple of other popular shows.
If you want to get your fix of PyeongChang without being confined to your couch, there are plenty of options for you too. 7PLUS is the channel seven online streaming service, allowing you to catch the action from your computer, or to download the app direct to your Android or iOS device. Believe it or not, that’s not all – Channel 7 has also created an app dedicated entirely to the Winter Olympics, aptly titled OlympicsOn7. The app is free to use and offers live coverage as well as other Olympic-related material, though if you want to watch in HD and ad-free you will need to pay $14.99 to access the premium range of content.
