The film follows Trinity, a newcomer in the neighbourhood, who, along with her friends, seeks to uncover the secrets of their mysterious neighbour, Mr. Peterson. The performances from the young cast are commendable, capturing the curiosity and bravery that children often exhibit in the face of fear. Director's approach to creating suspense is effective, although at times it leans heavily on familiar tropes found in children's horror. The cinematography and sound design contribute well to the eerie atmosphere, although the pacing occasionally falters, especially towards the middle. The characters, particularly Trinity, start off with promise but end up as clichés we’ve seen countless times before. The film has a certain charm, especially for younger viewers, but as an adult, I found myself wishing for more depth and originality. The pacing drags in places, and while the intended thrills might elicit a few gasps from kids, seasoned horror fans will likely find it lacking. It’s a decent watch for a family movie night, but it won’t leave a lasting impression. Show less
