The Sopranos (1999–2007)

The Sopranos possesses all the elements that make it a cinematic gem, even as a television series. From its writing and directing to its acting and soundtrack, the show was considered a groundbreaking addition to HBO’s roster of already acclaimed programs. Its cultural impact is another reason why, even to this day—nearly 20 years after it ended—The Sopranos remains relevant.

One of the greatest series of all time, The Sopranos ran on HBO for six seasons, from 1999 to 2007.

BINGE used to offer a catalogue of shows and movies, with original programming and HBO content as highlights. However, the arrival of Max in Australia on 31 March 2025 meant the departure of all HBO programs from BINGE’s library—including The Sopranos.

Every season of The Sopranos is now available to watch on Max, which, by extension, is also available on Foxtel. This is because a Basic Max plan is included in any of Foxtel’s entertainment packages at no additional cost. It is, however, important to note that The Sopranos will no longer be on Showcase. You can watch it directly on Max. To start streaming Max, you’ll first need to set up your access via your internet connected iQ3, iQ4 or iQ5.

While some HBO shows have been getting added to Netflix’s library in some territories, like Sex and the City, Band of Brothers, and more, The Sopranos is not included as of this writing.
