Cricket fans are excited about the biggest series of the summer, which will see Australia host the New Zealand Black Caps for three Tests over December and January. There’s always an added element of excitement when one of these two sides crosses the Pacific, and with both teams in good form this tour doesn’t appear likely to be any different.
The opening Test will take place on the 12th of December with the first ball to be bowled at 4.00pm AEDT in Perth’s inaugural day/night Test, and you don’t have to miss a minute of this exciting cricket action using the broadcast guide below.
Australia v New Zealand Test Series TV Preview
The Australian Test side is coming off an impressive two-Test series against Pakistan, who failed to offer up much in the way of resistance against the vastly superior home squad. New Zealand will likely present more of a challenge; the Black Caps are the second ranked side in the world and put in an impressive showing against a very capable England unit in the lead-up to this series. They have a talented bowling lineup and a number of world class batsmen, and are more than capable of matching it with the world’s best as was seen in their Cricket World Cup finals appearance.
The Aussies, however, will be extremely tough to beat – the three-pronged pace attack of Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood is looking as potent as ever, Warner is back to his best, and with Labuschagne and Smith anchoring the batting line-up there are plenty of players from whom the runs can come. The Australians will be tipped to hold onto the Trans-Tasman Trophy – which has been in their possession since 1993 – but the Kiwis won’t go down without a fight.
