The story begins with Nasa Yuzaki, a young man whose life changes after a chance encounter with the mysterious Tsukasa. The film's premise, where Tsukasa agrees to date Nasa only if they marry, sets the tone for a light-hearted yet meaningful exploration of their newlywed life. The character development is subtle, yet impactful, allowing viewers to connect with their journey. The animation is vibrant, enhancing the whimsical atmosphere of the story. ★★★★★3.5/5
If you're in the mood for a sweet escape, TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You might just be your cup of tea. The film focuses on the quirky romance between Nasa and Tsukasa, blending comedy with the everyday realities of married life. While the premise of marrying before dating is a bit odd, it sets the stage for some genuinely funny and heartwarming moments. The animation is bright and cheerful, perfectly matching the light tone of the story. However, the film doesn't take many risks and tends to follow familiar romantic tropes. Still, there's something undeniably charming about watching Nasa and Tsukasa navigate their relationship. It's a feel-good film that, while not groundbreaking, provides a pleasant viewing experience.
