★★★★★3/5
While Thomas and Friends: The Super Engine has its heart in the right place, it may not fully satisfy older fans of the franchise. The plot, while charming, feels a tad predictable as it follows familiar patterns of overcoming fears and celebrating teamwork. The characters are delightful, with James's transformation into a super-engine being a fun highlight. However, some might find the storyline lacking in depth and complexity. The animation is bright and visually appealing, capturing the attention of younger audiences. For parents seeking a quick, feel-good film for their kids, this is a solid choice, but those looking for something more substantial might want to look elsewhere. It’s an enjoyable watch, just not groundbreaking.
