★★★★★4/5
The Fall Guy, directed by David Leitch, marks a triumphant return to the action-comedy genre, blending thrilling stunts with a heartfelt narrative. The plot revolves around Colt Seavers, a stuntman who must retrieve a missing movie star while grappling with his own personal demons following a career-threatening accident. The performances are commendable, particularly from the lead, who embodies Colt's resilience and charm. The film's pacing is brisk, keeping audiences engaged through a series of well-choreographed action sequences and comedic moments. Leitch's direction shines in the way he balances the film's lighter tones with more serious themes, showcasing the struggles of those behind the scenes in Hollywood. While it doesn't shy away from clichés, The Fall Guy manages to deliver a fresh take on familiar tropes. Overall, it is a delightful watch for fans of the genre and those looking for an entertaining cinematic experience.

★★★★★3/5
The Fall Guy is a mixed bag that offers a decent dose of action and comedy, yet struggles to fully engage its audience. While the premise is intriguing, following Colt Seavers as he attempts to solve a mystery while dealing with a past accident, the execution leaves something to be desired. The film features impressive stunts and some genuinely funny moments, but it often feels like it relies too heavily on formulaic plot devices. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, yet their character development feels somewhat lacking, which detracts from the emotional stakes. David Leitch’s direction brings flair to the action sequences, but the narrative occasionally falters, leading to a somewhat predictable conclusion. In the end, The Fall Guy is an enjoyable watch for those seeking light entertainment, but it may not leave a lasting impact.
