After a string of bad contacts, Argentina’s greatest heavyweight boxer, Oscar “Ringo” Bonavena, arrives in Nevada in 1976 seeking to restart his career. There, Ringo unknowingly stumbles into the criminal world of Joe Conforte, who promises Ringo a bright future. But a bright future would not come, nor a sought-after rematch against Ali, as the boxer would be found dead in three months' time.
