My Hero Academia: You're Next is a mixed bag that will resonate differently depending on your familiarity with the franchise. The film kicks off with an intriguing premise, but as the plot unfolds, it sometimes feels like it relies too heavily on established tropes. The animation is undeniably impressive, and the action sequences are thrilling, but the narrative occasionally lags, struggling to maintain the same momentum. The character dynamics are enjoyable, especially the camaraderie among Izuku and his friends, yet there are moments that feel rushed. While it delivers on fan service, new viewers might find themselves lost in the extensive lore. Overall, it's an entertaining film that fans will likely appreciate, but it might not make a strong impact on those unfamiliar with the series.
