★★★★★3.5/5
Florida Man, directed by Miguel Arteta, presents a chaotic yet engaging narrative that dives into the life of a disgraced cop returning to Florida for a dubious mission. The film's plot is both entertaining and absurd, highlighting the absurdity often associated with the state. The lead performance captures the character's desperation effectively, bringing a blend of humour and gravitas to the role. Arteta's direction keeps the pacing brisk, which is crucial given the film's erratic storyline. However, while the film excels in its comedic moments, it sometimes falters in character development, leaving viewers wanting more depth. Overall, Florida Man is a fun ride but may not resonate with everyone, especially those seeking a more profound narrative.

★★★★★4/5
Florida Man is a wild, raucous adventure that perfectly captures the outrageous spirit of its titular state. From the moment the disgraced cop steps back into the chaos of Florida, you know you're in for a bumpy ride. The film pulls no punches, blending dark humour with thrilling moments that keep you on the edge of your seat. The performances are electric, especially the lead, who embodies both the desperation and wit needed to navigate this absurd treasure hunt. Miguel Arteta's direction infuses the film with a vibrant energy, making even the most chaotic scenes feel cohesive. Sure, it’s not a perfect film, and some moments might stretch believability, but if you're looking for an entertaining escape that revels in its own madness, Florida Man is definitely worth your time.
