★★★★★4/5

Drops of God is a captivating exploration of the world of wine and personal legacy, beautifully directed and thoughtfully executed. The film follows the journey of a young woman who, upon her father's death, finds herself in a fierce competition with a talented oenologist for her father's prized wine collection. The performances are commendable, particularly from the lead actress, who brings a poignant mix of vulnerability and determination to her role. The cinematography beautifully captures the elegance of the wine world, with lush visuals that enhance the storytelling. The film balances moments of tension with emotional depth, prompting viewers to reflect on family bonds and the complexities of inheritance. While some may find the pacing a bit slow at times, the rich character development and thematic resonance make Drops of God a rewarding watch.

★★★★★3/5

Drops of God tries to blend emotional storytelling with the high-stakes world of wine, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. The plot, while intriguing, sometimes feels predictable, and the character motivations can come off as a bit cliché. The lead performance is solid, but the supporting cast doesn’t leave much of an impression. The film’s pacing drags in parts, which can make it a chore to sit through, especially for those not particularly interested in wine culture. However, the cinematography is visually stunning, and wine aficionados may appreciate the attention to detail in the depiction of the wine-making process. Overall, Drops of God offers some engaging moments but falls short of being a truly compelling film.
