★★★★★3.5/5
Count Your Lucky Stars presents an intriguing narrative that intertwines the lives of two contrasting characters: Lu Xingcheng, an arrogant fashion editor, and Tong Xiaoyou, a struggling designer. Directed by Lin Tzu-Ping, the film explores themes of fortune, ambition, and personal growth. While the premise is compelling, the execution sometimes falters, with predictable plot points that may not fully engage viewers. The performances are commendable, particularly from the lead actors, who bring depth to their roles. The film balances moments of humour with emotional beats, creating a light-hearted viewing experience. However, it occasionally lacks the depth to leave a lasting impression. Overall, Count Your Lucky Stars is an enjoyable watch for fans of romantic comedies but may not resonate with those seeking a more profound narrative.
