Codename: Annika offers a captivating exploration of identity and deception within the high-stakes world of art fraud. The film follows Emma, a Finnish investigator, who adopts the persona of Annika, a wild socialite, to infiltrate an auction house tied to a notorious money launderer. The performances are commendable, particularly the lead, who expertly navigates the complexities of her dual identity. The film’s pacing is well-executed, building tension as Emma delves deeper into her undercover role. Visually, the cinematography captures the opulence of the art world, enhancing the viewer's immersion. While the narrative occasionally leans on familiar tropes, it ultimately delivers a thought-provoking commentary on morality and the masks we wear. Editor Team

★★★★★3.5/5

Codename: Annika is a mixed bag that takes you on a wild ride through the glamorous yet shady world of art auctions. Emma, our protagonist, transforms into the fiery Annika, and boy, does she bring the chaos! The film has a stylish flair, and the parties are vibrant, but it sometimes feels like it’s trying too hard to be edgy. The emotional weight of Emma's past is touched upon, but I wished it had been explored more deeply. The plot twists are enjoyable, even if a bit predictable at times. Still, the film keeps you engaged with its intrigue and sharp dialogue. If you're in the mood for a stylish caper that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Codename: Annika might just hit the spot. It’s not perfect, but it has its charms!
