Set against the stunning backdrop of the Austrian Alps, the narrative follows Olga and her granddaughter Milana as they navigate the complexities of their new life as refugees from Ukraine. The film's strength lies in its character development; both Olga and Milana are portrayed with such depth that viewers cannot help but empathise with their struggles. The direction is sensitive and thoughtful, allowing moments of levity to punctuate the heavier themes of loss and resilience. The cinematography captures the breathtaking scenery, contrasting the beauty of nature with the harsh realities of war. Show more >> Camp Courage offers a touching story that aims to tug at the heartstrings, and for the most part, it succeeds. The film follows Olga and Milana as they adjust to life away from their war-torn homeland, and their journey is filled with both challenges and tender moments. The performances are commendable, particularly the chemistry between the two leads, which feels genuine and relatable. However, while the film is visually stunning, some might find the pacing a bit slow, especially in the first half. The emotional beats are well-executed, but there are times when the story feels like it treads familiar ground. Still, Camp Courage is a solid watch for those who appreciate character-driven narratives that celebrate the human spirit in times of adversity. Show less
