The Good Doctor streaming on free to air TV

Based on the award winning South Korean show of the same name, The Good Doctor is back for a third season. The series follow Dr. Shaun Murphy, an autistic surgeon who has the ability to read his patients like no other, as he strives to move forward with his life after a troubled childhood.

Shaun Murphy is back as The Good Doctor, and this time he’s in love. He has finally plucked up the courage to ask Carly out on a date, but things don’t quite go as planned. Shaun finds that asking a girl out for a date is one thing, but maintaining a relationship long term is very much another.

There have also been some changes at St. Bonaventure, with Dr. Lim receiving a promotion, raising new tensions between her new boss (and old flame), Dr. Melendez.

Starring Freddie Highmore, (Charlie and The Chocolate Factory), Nicholas Gonzalez (Ressurection Blvd), Antonia Thomas (Misfits), and Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, the much anticipated Good Doctor TV series has arrived in Australia and using the information in this guide you won’t have to miss a key moment.

Pine Gap (Telstra TV)

Pine Gap (Telstra TV)

This Australian mystery thriller is based on a joint American-Australian intelligence facility south of Alice-Springs. Directed by Matt King, the six episode mini-series is set in a highly secretive world where classified information is used to solve crime and terrorist plots. But when there are governments involved, there’s also lots of chess playing for political gain.

catch-22

Catch-22 (Telstra TV)

George Clooney stars and co-produces this TV version of Joseph Heller’s famous novel of the same name. This dark comedy is based on a World War II pilot who is desperate to be thrown out of the army, after being bound by law to undertake suicidal missions, on the grounds of insanity. For many years the novel was seen as unfilmable due to its complicated, time-jumping narrative – but this series pulls it off well.

Succession

Succession (Foxtel)

Although he has no plans to step aside as the head of the international media conglomerate controlled by his family, ageing patriarch Logan Roy is contemplating what the future holds. He has lingered in the limelight longer than even he thought he would, and now family members want to run the company as they see fit. Despite a best-laid succession plan, tempers flare over Logan’s intentions.
